Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything works in your browser. Sign in and start faxing.
What is an automation?
A set of steps that runs on its own. For example: a client fills in your intake form, signs an engagement letter, and closing docs are faxed to your office. You set it up once.
What file types can I send?
PDF and TIFF (.tif / .tiff) for fax. Documents and signing use PDF. Multi-page files are supported.
Can I generate documents from templates?
Yes. Create a template with {{placeholders}}, generate a filled PDF, then fax it or send it for signature.
How does eSign work?
Upload or pick a document, add signers in order, and share the signing link. Each signer draws or types a mark and consents. The signed PDF and audit certificate land in Documents.
What phone number format should I use?
Type it the way you'd dial it, like (305) 214-8890. For other countries, start with + and the country code.
How long do you keep faxes?
We keep sent and received faxes for 365 days unless an owner or admin chooses a shorter time. Automatic deletion stays off until it is turned on. A legal hold means nothing is deleted. See Privacy and Security.
Can I receive faxes too?
Yes. Once you have a fax number, faxes sent to it appear in your fax list and can be emailed to you.
Can I search inside a fax?
Yes. After a fax is stored, we index the text from each page in the background. Use the search box on your fax list or pass q on GET /api/v1/fax. When a searchable PDF is available, add ?searchable=true to the download link.
Can barcodes route inbound faxes?
Workspace owners and admins can add rules that read QR codes and barcodes on inbound pages and file, tag, email, or notify a signed webhook inside the same workspace. Each decision is logged.
What does “unlimited” really mean?
It covers normal business volumes under our fair-use policy. High-volume or abusive patterns may be limited. Read the AUP for the full rules.
Are toll-free (800) numbers or minutes included with my plan?
Toll-free numbers are optional on paid plans and count as one of your fax numbers. Incoming toll-free minutes are billed separately and aren't part of "unlimited". See the details.

We process faxes only to deliver them. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle account and document information.
